Former Watford and Port Vale striker Steve Brooker joined Doncaster Rovers from Bristol City on a permanent two-and-a-half year deal in January 2009, shortly after completing a month's loan with the Club.
The aforementioned loan spell saw Brooker make one appearance for the Rovers and score one goal; coming on as a second half substitute in Rovers' 1-1 draw with Watford at Vicarage Road in November 2008.
A striker with an outstanding first touch and finishing ability, Brooker's time at Doncaster Rovers thus far has been blighted by injury; with Brooker requiring numerous operations on a problematic ankle injury since his arrival.
However, in the build-up to the 2010/11 season, Brooker looks to have put his injury problems behind him and will now be looking to push on and force his way into manager Sean O'Driscoll's starting eleven.
