Community Enjoy Half-Term Success

Posted on: Wed 05 Nov 2008

Doncaster Rovers Community Sports and Education Foundation held their October Fun Days last week as part of the October half term schools break.

Courses were held at various venues around Doncaster including Keepmoat Stadium with children from all parts of the Borough attending.

Community Officer Richard Bailey said:

"We have had a mixed reaction to the courses this time around with a slow start on Monday and Tuesday with numbers then picking up during the rest of the week. In the end we had just under 300 participant visits for the week, averaging over 50 children in attendance per day."

Plans are already underway to run courses over the Christmas period. The festive fun days will be held on Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd, Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th December. The fun days will be held indoors at Hall Cross Lower School from 09:00-12:00.
