As part of a morning of themed work based around the idea of 'Our Heroes', Doncaster Rovers' full squad visited Long Toft Primary school in Stainforth.
The idea behind the scheme is that Doncaster Rovers are sporting heroes and as such heroes that the children of Long Toft had the opportunity to meet, question and have a coaching session with.

Pupils also had the opportunity to meet with adults within our school community, that help us everyday and are not always recognised. Overall, the Long Toft Heroes morning allowed the children to learn about adult roles within school, increase understanding about the discipline and excellence required to be a sports person and give the children positive role models to aspire to.

Miss Caroline Hall Year 6 Teacher said: "Long Toft Year 6 pupils have this season experienced half a term of coaching from the Doncaster Rovers in the Community team and this is a further link up with Rovers. As a school, we are committed to offering our children enriching and enlivening learning opportunities such as this"

Sean O'Driscoll, the Rovers manager said: "It is important to get out into the community and give out positive messages on healthy eating and exercise. We have to be good role models for the children and adults throughout the borough and it was a pleasure to visit Long Toft."
