Friday night saw the group stages of the Doncaster School Girls U13's Community Cup. On a bitter night at the Keepmoat Ridgewood School had a night to savour with the A and B team winning their respective groups. They will now go on to contest the Doncaster Final prior to the Doncaster Rovers V Plymouth Argyle Coca-Cola Championship game on the 6th December.
Big thanks to all the schools that entered. There was some excellent football on display and all involved did their schools proud. In the end it was very close between Don Valley and Ridgewood A for the top spot in group A and after Don Valley had a bad start in their final game Ridgewood A went on to claim top spot. In Group B Ridgewood again triumphed only dropping 2 points in the whole competition and amazingly not conceding a single goal.

Incidentally plans are already underway to run soccer courses over the Christmas period for boys and girls regardless of ability aged between 4-14. The festive fun days will be held on Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd, Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th December. The fun days will be held indoors at Hall Cross Lower School from 09:00-12:00.
