U13's Cup Final Prior To Plymouth Game

Posted on: Fri 05 Dec 2008

Prior to this Saturdays game the U13's Schools girls cup final will be played in the main stadium. The girls have beat off competition from other schools from Doncaster to reach this prestigious occasion.

The Doncaster final will be kicking off at 13:20 in the main stadium with the two teams from the extremely proud Ridgewood School contesting the final. It would be fantastic to get as many Rovers fans down early to show their support for the girls in their quest for glory.

Whichever Ridgewood team is successful they will then go on to represent Doncaster Rovers against other teams from this region including Barnsley, Leeds United, Scunthorpe, Sheffield Wednesday, Sheffield United and Rotherham.

The girls will be looking to emulate recent success of Doncaster Schools Owston Park & Askern Spa who went all the way to the grand final at Wembley Stadium and Millennium Stadium respectively.

Come show your support and enjoy the game.

Incidentally plans are already underway to run soccer courses over the Christmas period for boys and girls regardless of ability aged between 4-14. The festive fun days will be held on Monday 22nd, Tuesday 23rd, Monday 29th and Tuesday 30th December. The fun days will be held indoors at Hall Cross Lower School from 09:00-12:00.

Unfortunately due to the course being indoors places are limited. For more information or to secure your child's place please contact the community team.
