Rovers In The Community Weekly Update

Saturday Coaching Club

Doncaster Rovers Sports Foundation is changing the format for its popular Saturday coaching club.
As from Saturday 31st January the club will combine both age groups from the age of 4-14 years.
The sessions will now run from 9:30am-11am (not as previously until 11:30am).
The cost is still only £2 per session with trainers and shin pads required at all times.

February Soccer Course

The Sports Foundation is once again running soccer courses throughout the half term holiday.
Courses are being held at the following venues:

Hall Cross Lower School
Armthorpe Tranmoor
Owston Park School

All the above courses run from 9am-12noon and cost £5 per day

Silver our next aim

Doncaster Rovers Sports Foundation is now aiming even higher as the community scheme moves up the scale to be officially recognised throughout the country. Every clubs community section in the country have to produce evidence to achieve various status by the Football League Trust and at this present time here at Doncaster we are well on the way to achieving our official silver status.

Thank you to Barnburgh and Harlington who are acted as ball boys at the Norwich City game. We hope the boys had a great night at the Keepmoat Stadium.

Ball Boys required

There are still places available for teams who would like to be ball boys at our remaining games.
If you would like your team to be ball boys at one of our remaining games please call Richard Bailey on 01302 764663. Team players must all be age 12 or above (U13 age groups).

Queens Park Rangers - Tuesday 10th March
Watford - Saturday 4th April
Preston North End - Monday 13th April
Crystal Palace - Saturday 25th April

Kirk Sandall Beek Children's Centre

Saturday saw the staff in coaching action at Kirk Sandall Beek Children's Centre. The community team were on hand to deliver multi skills sessions for the opening of the new centre.

R.E.A.C.T training get a Keepmoat kick start from Rovers

We are delighted to announce that REACT training group will now be based at the Keepmoat Stadium in conjunction with our Sports Foundation. The group of adults who have all had previous mental health problems in their lives will be based in the lower press room and will hold their training sessions at the stadium's all weather pitches.

Doncaster Rovers ability counts sessions launch

Saturday also saw the first of two pilot sessions for all players from 5-16 years with pan-disabilities and their families. The sessions were held at the Keepmoat all weather pitches from 10am-12noon.
Any parent who would like to bring their child down to future sessions can do so by registering with us in the lower press room through the Sports Development doors. Participants are reminded to wear trainers and shin pads, but not football boots. Please turn up and have a superb morning with us.
