Doncaster Rovers Sports Foundation has for the second time running won the Football League Award for the best Community based press including radio, newspapers, the matchday programme and official website.
The award is for Football League clubs in Yorkshire and the North East including Leeds United, Sheffield Wednesday and Sheffield United. This is through the hard work of the Community staff and the Rovers Media office.
Eric Randerson "This is a great honour to once again take the title with a clear lead over the other clubs. We have been held up as a good example of how to get the work of the community out into the media world. A lot of hard work as gone into getting out our news and views from both us and the media team. We wont sit back on this but work on new projects like a regular online newsletter and more on the official website"
Media Manager Steve Uttley "The work in the community is a very important part of Doncaster Rovers Football Club. It is another part of what makes us a successful club as it ties in with what goes on, on the pitch. We will continue to get the maximum publicity and media coverage that we can to show what good work Eric and his team do throughout the borough."
The award follows on from the club winning the best community pages award five years in a row.
