Pupils of Bentley New Village Primary School were in for a special treat on the first day of their school week, with special guests visiting for question and answer sessions and some coaching drills.
Yes, it wasn't the usual mundane morning for these pupils, with Sean O'Driscoll, Richard O'Kelly, Lee Butler and the entire Doncaster Rovers squad dropping in for a visit to the school.

A full welcoming committee, headed by Bentley New Village Primary School's head teacher Mrs. Maughan, were on hand to greet the Rovers as they arrived at the school, before heading into the main hall to meet up with members of staff and pupils.

Headed up by our fantastic Rovers in the Community team, alongside the Playing for Success staff from the East Stand of Keepmoat Stadium, the players split into groups to take a tour around the school and take part in a host of activities.

In the classrooms, Rovers players paired up to introduce themselves to the pupils, before taking a whole host of questions, ranging from 'how did you get to be at Doncaster Rovers' to 'how much do you get paid'!

Meanwhile, outside, Rovers in the Community coaches teamed up with Rovers players to split a class of pupils into teams to conduct physical sessions on the school's playing fields. Teams, captained by their respective Rovers player, would first undergo five training drills to warm up, before splitting into three mini games, which saw some horrendous 'keeping from Adam Lockwood in particular! However, there were also some stars of the future, with pace, trickery and tackling on show to impress the Doncaster Rovers players.

It was a fantastic morning, which was enjoyed by each and every one of the Bentley New Village pupils, each of whom also had the opportunity to have programmes and football shirts signed by their heroes.
