Doncaster Rovers Community Sports and Education Foundation truly are becoming renowned as one of the best Community initiatives in the country - and they have scooped a further award this week to further enhance that reputation, with the latest being the third time in a row that the Rovers in the Community have been awarded with it.
The Rovers' Community team have won the Yorkshire and North East regional press award for the third consecutive time - the first club to do so!
The award is presented to the club whose Community team's activities and initiatives are best publicised in the club's official media, as well as on a local and national media scale.
The Rovers in the Community have a regular double-page spread at the very least in Rovers Match Day Magazine, as well as their own section on DoncasterRoversFC.co.uk.
Community Officer Richard Bailey said: "We are delighted to have won the award again, and this once again highlights the excellent work the Sports Foundation and Media department do in the local Community to promote the Club."
Rovers Publications Editor, Chris Mortley, added: "Doncaster Rovers have a reputation and an increasing ambition to be a focal part of the local community and the Rovers in the Community team's fantastic work with a wide-range of people deserves to be reported just as much as what happens on the pitch."
