SMOKEFREE HELP STAINFORTH KICK THE HABIT!
Stainforth Junior football teams kick off the new season with a smart strip - while their families are kicking the smoking habit.
Doncaster Community Healthcare's Stop Smoking Service have challenged Stainforth Juniors football teams to spread the quit smoking message.
And the grown-ups who run and support the teams for children aged six to 16 are also stamping out their cigarettes with more than 30 'quitters' made up of parents, family and friends.
Carl Jarvis, marketing manager at Doncaster Community Healthcare, said: "Doncaster Stop Smoking Service are proud to endorse the kits and help to support family and friends associated with the club.

"We hope the branded kits will be a great way of engaging with our local communities, not just in Stainforth but throughout Doncaster with the teams travelling around the borough every weekend, helping to spread the SmokeFree message."
"If this support proves to be successful in helping us meet national targets set by the Department of Health and NHS Doncaster, we will consider running similar schemes with different sporting groups," said Mr Jarvis.
"We feel this kind of promotion is far more beneficial, helping support physical activity as well as recruit people on to the Stop Smoking programme. We would like to thank Doncaster Rovers Community Sports & Education Foundation and the Keepmoat Stadium for all their kind support and encouragement with the launch of the new strip.
"We value the input they have with young people, promoting grassroots football, helping to put something back in to our local communities and encourage a healthier lifestyle for all in Doncaster.
"With the help of the youth teams in Stainforth, details of our service are more likely to be seen throughout Doncaster and the people who choose to ask for our help are four times more likely to stop smoking and stay stopped than those who try to quit alone."
