On Tuesday 2nd March the Rovers Community Team took 15 teenagers from the E2E scheme to Batley Army Barracks for a day of team building activities and a chance to see what army life entails. The day started with a quick talk from one of the staff memebers and then it was outside for drill practice. After around 45 minutes of drill they split into three teams of five and proceeded to the chosen activities.

On one of the activities the teenagers had to try and collect full weight equipment using only a rope a clamp and a piece of tape within a 15 minute time limit. As the day went on the three teams each had an opportunity to try and complete the set activities with help from their team leaders.

After lunch the teenagers split into the same three teams and continued with the set games, which included a speed and awareness test and two team communication and logic games. The day ended with the teenagers having to get up individually and talk about themselves and their future goals in life for around 5 minutes before being awarded with a certificate of completion of the course.
