Belles head coach Zoey Shaw says everyone in the squad is feeling positive ahead of another away trip in the FAWNL Division One Midlands.
The Belles face Leicester United on Sunday and they are keen to put last weekend’s defeat to be with a good performance at Sign Right Park.
“Everyone is feeling pretty positive and very focused ahead of the game on Sunday, we’re ready to try and put a few wrongs right at the weekend, we have another long trip ahead but we’ll be ready,” Shaw said.
“Like usual, we don’t know too much about Leicester but we’ll have to make sure we’re ready for anything that comes our way, we have one or two players coming back into the mix so we’ll get there.”
Shaw has put her side through their paces in an alternative way this week with a variety of team-building activities, and the head coach feels that was just what was needed after a heavy period of intense work.
“We’ve had a good week of training, we’ve tweaked a few things, both collectively and individually, hopefully once all that work goes in, it’ll start to show on Sunday and the result will go our way,” she added.
“We wanted to give the girls a little bit of a lift this week, they’ve had a tough workload over the past couple of months, so we wanted to give them some brain space, and sometimes these sessions are just what you need to lift the atmosphere again.”
