Belles head coach Zoey Shaw says everyone is looking forward to getting straight back to work ahead of Wednesday’s trip to Long Eaton United.
The Belles face their second away game in four days with their visit to Grange Park in the FAWNL Division One Midlands, and Shaw feels that despite the quick turn-around, everyone in the squad will be feeling fresh.
“Spirits are high in the camp after the win on Sunday, so it’ll be good to get straight back into it, it’s good that we have a quick turn-around and we can look to keep the momentum going, we’re all looking forward to it,” she said.
“We’re having to hold some lighter training sessions this week, a bit more technical-based, the tempo will still be there in short spells, but we’re looking to work more on the basics, but no matter what the girls will feel fresh.
“Sunday’s game is fresh in our mind, we’ve had an opportunity to get a hold on a couple things that just needed tweaking, hopefully then we can capitalise on that and utilise it in the game, Long Eaton will be a tough test but we’ll make sure we’re ready.”
