Belles have signed forward Sophie Brown ahead of the 2020/21 season.
The 27-year-old has been in and around the Belles since age nine and after her side AFC Doncaster folded last season, she had had her sights set on a return to the historic club.
“When our team folded last season, I was asked to come along to Belles and give it a go,” she said.
“It’s a good set-up and it’s nice to have lots of hard training as it will help you get fit again.
“I’ve been around the Belles since I was about 9 or ten, so it’s nice to come back.”
Brown has been training with the Belles since their return to pre-season and says the players have made her feel really welcome.
“It’s a good bunch of girls – I was quite nervous about that but they seem like a good bunch,” she added.
“I’m hoping to bring a bit of speed to the team and something a bit different.”
Brown got off to a good start in the Belles’ first pre-season match of the new campaign when she was in the right place at the right time to put Kirsty Smith’s free-kick into the net. Read more from the game here.
