Sophie Scargill thought the Belles got just what they deserved on Sunday as they beat Solihull Moors 5-0 in the FAWNL Division One Midlands.
The Belles made it two wins from two games at home in 2020 in the league, going 10 points clear of the bottom two after the victory at Oxford Street, and Scargill believes the hard work being put in at training has provided them with the results.
“I thought we were brilliant to be honest, we really ground out a result, we were disciplined all over the pitch, I didn’t think it was as pretty as last week, we didn’t get the ball down and play as much but the three points are the most important thing,” she said.
“It’s good to get another clean sheet on the board as well, and I think that’s a testament to the hard work the management have done with us since they’ve come in, they’re told us what they wanted from us, we’ve done it and we’ve got the reward from that.
“I was happy to get an assist myself too, me and Kirsty had to be disciplined in the middle and it was quite a physical battle at times, so to get the opportunity to create some chances was good and luckily one came off.”
