Andy Butler believes that big crowds in the 2020/21 season could make all the difference to his Belles side’s push up the table.

The Belles regularlyrecorded the highest attendances in the FAWNL Division One Midlands league and the gaffer believes that his players thrive on the extra support.

“When we were at the Wolves games I actually saw a difference around the stadium,” he said.

“It’s hard to explain but everything felt really positive – the situation, the game, the crowd. The crowd were shouting and they were really involved in the game. It actually put into the players how much the match meant and I think the players thrived off that. The little bit of tension from the crowd is a good thing.

“There were a lot of new fans at the last two home games and it’s really good to see because people will come up to you when you walk around town and they’ll say I went to my Belles game and I really enjoyed it and I’m going to come back and that’s what we want, we want more people to come and watch the games because I think it’s a really good standard."

Belles 2020/21 Season Tickets are just £30 while the first 250 U17s can get their season ticket free of charge and Butler believes that anyone who can buy one should.

“Go out and buy a season ticket – it’s worth it,” he added.

“It’s not too expensive and it’s a good day out. My kids really enjoy going to watch the games because it’s a friendly atmosphere at all the home games. There’s no foul language or anything like that, it’s just a really positive atmosphere.

“It’s a brilliant place to play football and we have to say thank you to Rossington Main for helping us with that. If you want to see attractive football being played then come down.”
