Belles manager Andy Butler has been pleased with the attitude of his squad ahead of Sunday’s trip to Holwell Sports.

Tuesday’s first defeat of the season at Lincoln followed Sunday’s impressive win over Bedworth United and battling draw at Boldmere St Michaels.

Butler said: “All the girls came into training on Thursday with the right approach, which is all we want from them as a coaching team. They know where we went wrong on Tuesday night and they’re determined to ensure it doesn’t happen again.

“Ever since the start of pre-season they’ve been brilliant and done everything we’ve asked them to do. It’s been a demanding week or so for them and they’ve kept going no matter what.”

Holwell Sports will provide another tough test for Butler’s side on Sunday.

He added: “Recovery has been important this week, having games on Sunday and Tuesday is something we wouldn’t ask professional players to do but our girls did and put everything in.

“Holwell will provide a tough test and we go into the game as we do every one we play - knowing we’ll need to be on it to compete, but with a belief that if we do that then we can come away with a result.”
