Belles defender Fiona Berry was pleased to help her side to a first clean sheet of the season in Sunday’s win at Holwell Sports.
Berry and her central defensive partner Charlotte Dinsdale held firm as the Belles recorded a 3-0 win.
She said: “It was the first clean sheet of the season and it was nice to get one in the bag,
“I love playing alongside Dinno. She’s very calm and composed, and very vocal which makes everyone around her very calm and composed too. She’s a great partner.”
Berry felt the victory righted the wrongs of Tuesday’s defeat at Lincoln City.
She added: “We were a little nervous as we wanted to prove ourselves, but we came out raring to go.
“We should have got more goals in the second half and it would have been nice to get the five back we lost last week, but we’ve bounced back with three points which is the main thing.”
