Belles manager Andy Butler wants his side to take a sense of belief into Sunday’s game against Bedworth United.

The Belles fought back from two goals down against Boldmere St Michaels last weekend, and Butler wants his players to realise they are good enough to challenge for promotion.

He added: “They’ll learn from that result and performance, they’ll get there and realise they are a very good side.

“I was pleased with the attitude and desire. But we want to raise the bar, we want to be pushing for the top spots in the table. I believe with the players we’ve got, together with the staff and backing of Club Doncaster we can go places.”

Butler wants his side to side to enjoy every game and believes he has a squad capable of matching any team in the division.

He added: “It’ll be another tough game but it should be one for the girls to relish, if they want to go anywhere in this game they need to beat teams.

“We’ll treat them with respect and have a look at what they do, but it’s all about us and what we do. We want to keep raising the bar, not let standards slip and sure we’ll be fine.”
