Andy Butler's Belles will be at full strength on Sunday, as they welcome Sporting Khalsa to Oxford Street in their first home match of the 2021/22 campaign.

The Belles saw off Burton Albion 1-0 on the road in the season opener last Sunday. It was a tight affair, with the only goal of the game coming from Hannah McWilliams.

Butler expects an equally close game on Sunday.

“Anyone can beat anyone in this league and that makes it exciting,” he said.

“We expect Khalsa to come with a similar approach to Burton Albion and they made it very tough for us.”

Playing their first home league game after many months, Butler hopes to see a big crowd to back the Belles.

“The return to league football in front of fans has been long overdue. It will be great to have the atmosphere back,” he added.

“Our fans are brilliant, they have a great following away and home.

“We hope we can produce the goods and show what we are about and hopefully attract some more fans down, it brings out the best in the players.”
