Belles defender Sophie Bell praised the team as the side saw off Solihull Moors 2-0 to secure top spot at Christmas.
Bell was voted player of the match for her marauding play from right back which allowed her to create an attacking outlet while also standing firm in defence. She was pleased with her own performance, but was delighted that the team earned another win and clean sheet.
Bell said: “I felt I played alright. I like to be involved in the game as much as possible but the important thing was it was a well disciplined performance by the side today.
“The goal before half time was crucial, we were confident at half time, we got it in our locker with the quality we have.
“There was a different side to us, it shows we can score anytime and grind out results. It was also great to bring on the subs as well because they made a real impact."
