Belles chief executive Russ Green says the club are ready to pick up their season as soon as they get the green light to do so.
Stricter lockdown measures announced earlier in January mean the Belles are now unlikely to return to league action until February at least, with even training currently on hold.
Russ said: “This break is of course frustrating for all of us, and we know how much the club means to our fans as we’ve seen throughout the season.
“But we’ve been here before, our staff and players have the experience of the previous two lockdowns so they know exactly what to do to keep themselves in good shape and ready to hit the ground running.
“We also know exactly how to put on matches safely in partnership with Rossington Main, so once we can get back to a point where we have a fixture list in front of us again we can quickly ramp up and get back to where we were before Christmas. We will follow the expert advice and until we can welcome fans back I hope everyone stays safe - which is obviously the most important thing.”
