Andy Butler was left frustrated as the Belles fell to a narrow 1-0 loss to Boldmere St Michaels Women last Sunday.

The home side took the lead inside 15 minutes and Belles were unable to break down a well-organised opposition.

Butler said: “The game wasn’t helped by the wind, it was always going to be difficult to find rhythm.

“First half, we didn’t get going, we didn’t impose ourselves the way we wanted.

"Second half we huffed and puffed but didn’t really get going again. We moved the ball better, our build up play was much better, however we just couldn’t put the ball in the net”.

The Belles return to Rossington on Sunday as they entertain Nottingham Forest in the WNL Plate. Butler is relishing the game against Forest.

He added: “It’s another great test, a challenge we've got to rise to. If you want to play in those divisions you got to play the best.

“That’s where we want to go, we’ll see what their strengths are and see how we can nullify that and how we can impose ourselves on the game.”

Sunday's match will take place at Oxford Street and kick-off at 2pm. Entry is £4 for adults and £2 for children. Doncaster Rovers season ticket holders can attend the match at a discounted rate on production of their Season Ticket Card.
