Goals from Jess Andrew, Nadia Khan, Charlotte Dinsdale and a brace from Jasmine Saxton saw the Belles beat Leek Town 5-0 at Oxford Street.

Andy Butler made three changes to the side that drew with Long Eaton United. Jess Price, Nadia Khan and Sophie Bell came in for Lily Wishart, Tily Fantom and Hannah McWilliams.

After a pacey start, the Belles broke the deadlock on eight minutes, a mistake in the Leek Town backline saw Saxton through on goal and slot it past the keeper.

Saxton had a hand in the second goal, linking well with Lindsey Tugby, playing Tugby through. Her low cross found Khan who fired it home from close range. Her fourth goal of the season.

Tugby was causing Leek all sorts of problems, creating the third goal for the Belles. A short corner with Khan, saw Tugby’s cross find Dinsdale who rose well to direct her header into the bottom corner to open her tally for the season.

The Belles made it four just before half-time. A foul on Khan just inside the box meant the officials had no choice but to point to the spot. Andrew stepped up and cooly slotted it past the keeper from 12-yards to round off a very good 45 minutes of football.

The Belles continued the ruthlessness in the second half, a mistake again by Leek’s defence saw Saxton through on goal again, she rounded the keeper to slot it home.

McWilliams almost put the icing on the cake, fantastic feet to get past two defenders, her curling shot beat the keeper but the inside of the post came to Leek’s rescue. The win extends the Belles unbeaten run to four games.

Butler's side will travel to Wem Town next Sunday to play the rescheduled away fixture.
