The Belles are back on the road this Sunday, as they travel to the East Midlands in their penultimate game of the season to face Long Eaton United in the FAWNL Division One Midlands (photo: mjappleby9).

Andy Butler’s side will be looking to stretch their four-game unbeaten run after a 3-2 win against Bedworth United last Sunday, with goals from Sophie Scargill and a brace by Jasmine Saxton.

Away form in the league has been solid for the Belles since the turn of the year, with one defeat in the last four games, scoring thirteen goals and conceding four in the process.

Opponents Long Eaton United currently sit fourth in the league on 33 points, with ten wins, three draws and six defeats. Their last result was a 2-0 away win against Sporting Khalsa, and the Blues will be chasing a third-place finish to the season.

The two sides shared the spoils in the reverse fixture back in September in a 1-1 draw at the Eco-Power, with Saxton getting on the scoresheet and the visitors scoring direct from a corner.

A win for the Belles will close the gap with Boldmere at the top of the table to three points, with both sides having one game remaining.

Venue: Grange Park, Long Eaton, NG10 2EF

Kick off: 2pm
