The Belles complete their 2021/22 league campaign this Sunday as they travel to the ARMCO Arena to face Solihull Moors in the FA WNL Division One Midlands

Andy Butler’s side will look to finish the season on a positive note, after just missing out on the title following a 1-1 draw with Long Eaton United two weeks ago in which defender Charlotte Dinsdale scored her third goal of the season.

Away form in the league for the Belles has been solid, with just one defeat in five, scoring 14 goals and only conceding five in the process.

Opponents Solihull Moors sit four places below in sixth place on 30 points, with nine wins, three draws and 9 defeats. In their last game, the Moors saw off Peterborough United 4-0 and have been on a good run of form to consolidate a mid-table finish.

The Belles and the Moors served up a thriller in the reverse fixture back in December, where goals from Jess Price and Niamh Doody saw Andy Butler’s side come away 2-0 winners at home to end 2021 on a high.

A win this Sunday for the Belles will see them secure second place in the league.

First Team Coach Nick Buxton summed up the determination in the camp:

“We’ve got to go there and give it everything and finish the season off well. If we put the performance on that we know we can do, then we will win."
