Goals from Chantelle Robinson and Lauryn Wilcock saw the Belles fell to a 2-0 defeat to Lincoln City in the FA WNL Division One Midlands
Andy Butler’s side were unchanged for a fourth game in a row, as they looked to carry on their great form.
After a tense opening the host took the lead, a long ball by Lincoln saw Wilcock rounded Sharpe for a tap in.
The Belles grew into the game after that were nearly on level terms. Lindsey Tugby testing the keeper from 25 yards out, beating the keeper but the crossbar denied a superb goal.
After the restart, Lily Wishart appeared to have been fouled in the Lincoln 18-yard box. She was about to take a shot - after being played in by Nadia Khan - and was wiped out from behind, but the officials waved away the protests.
Lincoln compounded the disappointment by doubling their lead soon after. Another long ball by their midfielder caused confusion in the back line allowing Robinson to tap into a empty net.
The defeat to the Belles, still keeps them at the top of the table, as they host Bedworth United next in the league.
