Belles forward Nadia Khan is eyeing up an international career with Pakistan showing an interest.

Speaking to, Belles number seven Khan said: "I was around 12-years-old when I started playing football with my brothers at home in the garden.

"They taught me how to properly kick the ball, but I really loved it from the go.

"As I gained confidence with the ball, I joined a local club and ended up playing there regularly. Eventually, I began to play more competitive football as I trialed for Leeds United's RTC (Regional Talent Centre).

"I'd love to play international football someday, either for England or Pakistan. That would be an amazing experience playing for your country. I still have family in Pakistan, so they can watch me play for them, and hopefully other Asian footballers in UK also take note."

Khan has been a regular under Andy Butler for the Belles and she believes she has benefitted highly from his management.

"Playing under Butler and Nick Buxton has been rewarding because they brought in a different view of football that we learnt as a team.

"I have progressed a lot under their management. We just missed out on promotion this year, but next year should be our year."
