Belles manager Andy Butler was pleased with his team's response as they recorded a 5-1 home win over Leafield Athletic in FAWNL Division One Midlands.
The Belles put on a five-star performance with goals from Jasmine Saxton and Lauren Breen on Sunday afternoon.
Butler said: “I was critical of the team last week at Sheffield Wednesday, but some of the one-two touch football today was impressive to watch.
“We started well with the first goal. Leafield then got on top and caused us problems but the second goal came at just the right time - the reaction was good.
“We find ways to win even if we’re not playing well."
The Belles went on to dominate their first league game outing for four weeks, with Butler praising the whole team individually for their efforts and he was pleased to see players returning from injury to bolster the squad for the end-of-season run-in.
He added: “Every game is important to keep the pressure on the teams around us – we just need to focus on ourselves and keep on doing what we’re doing."
