A look at the latest from around Club Doncaster:

ENGLAND MEN’S ELITE LEAGUE

More than 4,500 supporters descended on the Eco-Power Stadium as we played host to the England Men’s Elite League squad and their Italian counterparts.

The former U20 group featured the likes of Newcastle United’s on-loan Chelsea full back Lewis Hall, Peterborough United centre half Ronnie Edwards and Leeds United midfielder Archie Gray, under the stewardship of interim coach Ben Futcher, who briefly played for Rovers in 2002.

Italy triumphed 3-0 on the night with a brace from Juventus’ Luis Hasa and a strike from Filippo Missouri of Sassuolo.

DONCASTER RLFC

A raft of Dons’ promotion-winning heroes have committed their futures to the club for the 2024 Championship campaign.

Misi Taulapapa, Greg Burns, Elliot Hall and Brett Ferres have joined those already signed up for next season along with recent arrivals Luke Briscoe, Suaia Matagi, Reece Lyne, Alex Sutcliffe and Craig Hall.

The squad reported back for pre-season training this week as they begin preparations for the start of the campaign in the New Year.

Season tickets remain on sale ahead of the November 30 deadline for claiming early bird pricing.

From December 1, a Blue season ticket package will increase from £99 to £145, with Gold season tickets increasing from £149 to £195.

DONCASTER ROVERS

Grant McCann’s side secured their place in the second round of the Emirates FA Cup after coming from behind to triumph at Accrington Stanley.

An extra time strike from Joe Ironside decided the replay at the Wham Stadium and set up a trip to Peterborough United in the second round on Saturday, December 2.

A Black Friday deal for Season Membership renewals is currently running, with more than 50 per cent of available tickets snapped up inside the first 48 hours.

Supporters can renew their Season Membership for the 2024/25 season at 23/24 early bird prices, plus an additional ten per cent off.

DONCASTER ROVERS BELLES

The Belles have appointed former Northern Ireland international midfielder Ciaran Toner as the new first team manager.

The 42-year-old brings a wealth of coaching experience to the role, having progressed through to lead professional development phase coach at Rotherham United.

Toner came through the ranks at Tottenham Hotspur before spells with Leyton Orient, Lincoln City, Grimsby Town and Rochdale. He played alongside Rovers manager Grant McCann at international level, as well as assistant manager Cliff Byrne later in his career at Gainsborough Trinity.

After hanging up his boots, Toner spent seven years coaching within the Academy at Rotherham, where he helped to develop the likes of current Huddersfield Town midfielder Ben Wiles.

Amanda Greenslade has been appointed assistant manager.

Greenslade has overseen the club’s Elite Training Centre and acted as PE development officer for the Football Association since 2019.

The new management duo will take charge of their first game this weekend as the Belles visit Millmoor Juniors Development in the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA Cup.
