Four goals apiece from Jasmine Saxton and Hannah McWilliams helped the Belles coast into the fourth round of the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA Senior Cup with a 13-0 win at Millmoor Juniors Development.

Holly Housley grabbed a hat trick while Lauren Breen and skipper Jess Tugby-Andrew also found the net as the Belles marked Ciaran Toner’s first game in charge with a dominant triumph and a thoroughly professional performance.

The damage was done in the first half, which ended with the Belles eight goals ahead, though there was little let-up after the break.

It took just seven minutes for the deadlock to be broken when Breen smashed a shot at the near post that ricocheted between the post and Millmoor keeper before crossing the line.

The lead was doubled in the next attack, with Breen playing a central role once again. The midfielder threaded the ball between the Millmoor defence for Saxton to race onto and poke a shot beyond the keeper.

Saxton had the bit between her teeth and went close to adding a second of her own with a drive across goal.

But she did not have to wait long to find the net once again as she rolled home from the penalty spot after Breen was brought down in the box and forced off through injury.

Saxton secured her hat trick on 26 minutes when a mix-up in defence for Millmoor saw the keeper smash a clearance into the striker only for the ball to deflect home.

Not content with the four-goal advantage, the Belles pushed on and found another three goals by the half hour mark.

McWilliams powered forward and smashed in at the near post before Housley slotted into a near-empty net after meeting Saxton’s squared ball at the back post.

And Saxton completed the run of four goals in five minutes when she was played in-behind and stroked the ball past the keeper.

McWilliams latched onto a dangerous ball from Lindsey Tugby-Andrew to net the eighth before the break.

The Belles piled on the pressure from the start of the second half but were denied by a string of impressive saves from the Millmoor keeper.

Toner’s side finally overcame the resistance on 54 minutes when Jess Tugby-Andrew powered home a header at the back post from a Lindsey Tugby-Andrew corner.

McWilliams completed her hat trick on the hour mark when she fired home from another Belles corner.

Housley tried her luck from distance inside the final 15 minutes and despite the keeper getting a hand to the effort, it flew into the top corner.

McWilliams found her fourth when pouncing on a rebound to roll the ball past the stranded keeper before the scoring was completed two minutes from time when Housley slotted in.
