The Belles are back in Women’s National League Division One North action this evening [October 11] as they face York City at the Iqbal Poultry Stadium at 7.45pm.

Having played in front of an 800-strong crowd at the Eco-Power Stadium on Sunday, the Belles are looking to bounce back from defeat at the first attempt against the Minster Belles.

City sit ninth in the division, just one place behind the Belles, having played an extra game in comparison to Sam Winch and Alex Nogueira’s side with just four points from seven games.

The visitors’ only win this season came in a 5-0 thumping of FC United of Manchester but they have lost their last three games and leaked eight goals in the process.

With three more points from one less game, the Belles will be looking to put further daylight between themselves and the bottom end of the league – and reignite the performance of their last win against Norton & Stockton Ancients.

Alice Hughes leads the goalscoring charts for York with three goals from eight games and the Belles will be looking to continue threatening goals from all angles already having 11 different goalscorers this campaign.

Tonight’s game will be a first ever league meeting between the two sides and tickets are priced at £4 for adults, £3 for 14-17 year-olds and £1 for 13 and under. Purchase your tickets now by clicking HERE.
