The Belles return to action this Thursday (September 7) in the FA Women’s National League Division One North, when they travel to the Easy Buy Stadium in Barton-upon-Humber to take on Hull City Ladies (7.45pm KO).

The trip to Humberside is the Belles third league fixture of the season with them having taken three points from the opening two games.

After beating FC United of Manchester 7-1 away from home on the opening day, last Sunday saw a narrow 3-1 defeat to Leeds United in the Belles’ home opener.

Half-time substitute Ella Mortimer came off the bench to grab her first senior goal for the club late on, but it proved only a consolation in front of a crowd of 309 at the Iqbal Poultry Stadium in Thorne.

Now, the managerial duo of Sam Winch and Alexandre Brito Nogueira have prepared the side to take on the Tigresses, who have won both of their first two league games.

Coming out the right side of a 4-3 thriller at York City in their opening game, Hull more recently hit Middlesbrough for four on home soil, those wins were sandwiched between a cup exit at the hands of Sporting Khalsa.

Thursday evening’s game will provide the first competitive meeting between the Belles and City since the 2018/19 campaign. After a Hull win in the first meeting that season, the pair played out a 3-3 draw on a Wednesday night in Humberside.

Lauren Breen was in the starting eleven for the Belles that evening, with Chloe Bethell, Olivia Cook and Abby Watkinson scoring the goals.

If you’re making the journey to back the Belles this time around, you can buy your tickets online HERE. They’ll also be available on the gate at the Easy Buy Stadium (DN18 5RL), however purchasing online will save you £1 per person.
