The Belles are back in FA Women’s National League Division One North action on Sunday, September 10 with a trip to Stockport County (2pm KO).

Sam Winch and Alexandre Brito Nogueira take their side to Stockport Sports Village in search of a second win of the campaign to follow on from an opening day victory at FC United of Manchester.

Since then, there have been defeats in the league against both Leeds United and Hull City. The latter of those came on Thursday night in Barton-upon-Humber, when the Tigresses ran out 3-0 winners.

After three games, the Belles sit 6th in the table, and on Sunday they go up against a Stockport side two places below in 8th.

The Hatters also have three points to their name so far this term, earned via a win at Durham Cestria. Either side of that success though came defeats to Leeds and Barnsley.

Steve O’Hara’s side saw the South Yorkshire outfit take all three points on Wednesday night in Greater Manchester with a 1-0 margin and accordingly, they are yet to get off the mark on home soil.

The last time the two sides met, in an end-of-season friendly to bring the curtain down on the 2020/21 campaign, Jasmine Saxton was on the scoresheet for the Belles in a 3-2 win.

Supporters making the trip to back the Belles this weekend are advised that payment on the gate will be CASH ONLY at Stockport Sports Village (SK6 1QX).

Entry will cost £5 for adults, with concessions £1 and U16s free of charge. Where possible, please endeavour to have the correct sum available.
