The Belles are back in the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA Senior Cup final this weekend - a competition in which they have a storied history.

Sunday’s final sees them face third tier Huddersfield Town for the second successive year, having reached the stage for the first time in 13 years. The Terriers lifted the trophy after a 1-0 victory in a competitive game at the Eco-Power Stadium.

Not only are the Belles seeking revenge as they prepare to face Huddersfield at Hillsborough, they are looking to lift the trophy for the first time in 14 years.

The last victory in 2010 marked the end of a sequence in which they won the County Cup seven times in eight years.

Of the 21 stagings of the competition, the Belles have been victorious on seven occasions

Opponents Huddersfield have won the last four finals in the competition, dating back to 2017, with a three-year enforced break due to the coronavirus pandemic. The Terriers currently sit behind the Belles on the all-time winners list in second place alongside Sheffield FC, having won four.
