The Belles are in the final of the Sheffield and Hallamshire FA Senior Cup final for the second successive year after a 3-1 triumph at Barnsley Women Reserves.

And they will have chance for revenge as they once again face last season’s winners Huddersfield Town in the decider.

Goals from Hannah McWilliams, Jess Tugby-Andrew and Mollie Barlow saw the Belles come from behind at the Dorothy Hyman Sports Centre.

The hosts took the lead on 26 minutes when Bethany Howarth latched onto a long ball over the top and calmly slotted into the bottom corner.

The Belles were level ten minutes later however. Arianne Parnham powered inside from the flank and sent in a superb cross for McWilliams, who drilled into the top corner.

And the turnaround was completed on 39 minutes. Holly Housley sent a high ball into the box which McWilliams flicked on for captain Tugby-Andrew to volley home.

The Belles pushed for more after the break with substitute Phoebe Sneddon heading over from a Parnham cross.

And they would find a third on the hour mark. Ryley Johnson found Sneddon with a cross to the near post with the midfielder controlling well and firing on goal. Barnsley keeper Holly Dunsford made an excellent save but could do little about the follow-up as Barlow slotted home to secure the Belles’ place in the final.

Belles: Sharpe, R Johnson (Rattenbury), J Tugby-Andrew, Yates, Housley, Barlow, Gigg (L Tugby-Andrew), Abadi, McWilliams (Sneddon), Parnham (Morris), Saxton (Mortimer).
