After receiving emails from supporters regarding problems on the Official Website including updates regarding matches, player profiles, match reports we would like to clarify the situation regarding these matters.
These problems are occurring while Football League clubs are transferring from one web provider to another. Eighty six clubs have been simultaneously transferring their information during the past few month which has put massive demand on the servers.
These problems are not only affecting the Doncaster Rovers website but sites across the Football League. The clubs are working with Sapient Nitro, the website provider, to rectify the problems as soon as possible.
With regards to emails we have received recently regarding match reports not appearing on the relevant ‘Match Report’ section or on the ‘Fixture List’, we have raised this issue with Sapient and it is currently being investigated. Reports for the games have been launched, however are not appearing on the site.
The ‘Last Match’ and ‘Next Match’ feature on the site is also automatically populated; therefore we cannot determine what is displayed in the window. Again we have raised the issue of the ‘Last Match’ section having not updated since the final game of last season, this is currently under investigation and we hope to have a resolution for this soon.
The 'Player Profiles' are jointly created by the club and PA, most of which are up to date, however we are waiting for four of the most recently signed players to be added before we can create a profile for them.
Supporters can be assured that the club are working closely with Sapient Nitro and the other Football League club to find resolutions to the problems we come up against.
