Stock Heads To Burnley

11 August 2012

Doncaster Rovers can confirm that captain and influential midfielder Brian Stock has joined Burnley Football Club on a two-year deal for an undisclosed fee.

Stock signed for Rovers on-loan from then Championship side Preston North End by previous manager Sean O’Driscoll upon his arrival at the club in 2006.

After a successful loan spell, Sean O’Driscoll moved to make Stock a permanent signing and soon installed him as team captain.

During his six-year spell with Rovers, Stock has made over 180 appearances scoring 23 goals along the way.

Stocky, as he is affectionately known by all at Rovers, enjoyed many fantastic memories including the Johnstones Paint Trophy Final victory and more importantly captaining Rovers to a League One Play-Off Final victory over Leeds United.

Everyone at Doncaster Rovers Football club would like to thank Stocky for his time at the club and wish him all the best for the future.
