Hume Extends Loan Deal

26 December 2012

Striker Iain Hume has extended his loan deal, from Preston North End, until the end of the season.

Manager Dean Saunders has today confirmed that Hume will remain with Doncaster Rovers until the season ends, the Lillywhites frontman still has one year to run on his contract at Deepdale.

Since arriving at the club earlier in the season, Hume has cemented his place in the first team squad playing an integral part in Rovers maintaining the healthy league position they are currently in.

Manager Dean Saunders was given the green light to extend Hume’s deal, at last week’s Board Meeting, along with funds being made available to secure signings to further strengthen the squad.

Midfielder Sammy Clingan has left the club after coming to the end of his short-term deal. Dean was hoping to have a deal tied up for the former Coventry City man, however he confirmed today that Sammy is no longer with Rovers.
