Representatives from Doncaster Rovers joined some of the biggest names in business at the annual Doncaster Chamber Business Awards at Doncaster Racecourse on Thursday night.
The awards themselves were presented by BBC Breakfast’s Stephanie McGovern, with a host of Doncaster's big-named businesses either nominated or winning awards, including Doncaster Rovers’ main club sponsors One Call Insurance who scooped the award for ‘Business of the Year’.
Nigel Brewster of Brewster McBride took to the stage to announce the nominations for the ‘Performance through Partnership’ award with Doncaster Rovers amongst the nominee’s.
The award recognises an organisation’s ability to seek out and develop partnerships that move beyond normal commercial relationships to deliver real added value to all partners, customers and other stakeholders. The award also takes into consideration the clarity of the partnership’s objectives, innovative business practices, and the impact of the partnership on financial performance’.

Doncaster Rovers were announced as winners for the award and Chief Executive Gavin Baldwin stepped up to the stage to receive the prestigious accolade.
Upon collecting the award Gavin said “It’s a fantastic achievement for Doncaster Rovers to be awarded with this special accolade.
“We are committed to maintaining a healthy and vibrant relationship with all our partners and I think this award reiterates that.
“I would like to extended special congratulations to One Call Insurance, our main club sponsors, who have deservedly been awarded ‘Business of the Year’.”
