Keegan to Continue Contract

17 July 2012

Rovers can today confirm that Paul Keegan has signed a renewed contract with the football club. The Irishman has put pen to paper on a one-year deal. Although he featured just three times last season, manager Dean Saunders has seen fit to offer the 28 year old a new deal.

The Dubliner, who has represented his country five times at under-21 level, was signed in January 2011 by former manager Sean O’Driscoll having made his name with Irish Premier League sides Drogheda United and Bohemians.

Keegan played 45 minutes of the friendly game against Cleethorpes Town on Saturday and manager Dean Saunders was pleased with his contribution.

“I thought Paul did well, and got better as the game went on.”
