Doncaster Rovers Under 18s have kicked off this season’s Gothia Cup with a victory over Swedish side Geifle.
Rovers have a good record in the pre-season competition and recorded a 3-0 victory in the opening game against the Swedish side.
Goals from Billy Whitehouse, Callum Terrell and Spencer Lund sealed the victory, Head of Youth Paul Wilson was full of praise for the team performance.
‘It was a good opening performance from the lads,’ he said
‘It’s always difficult when you are playing one of the home clubs, but they did fantastic and fully deserved to win the game.
‘The players have worked hard and it showed with the performance.’
