Cash Gates

7 November 2012

Doncaster Rovers are pleased to confirm that on the back of two successful trials, the club will be continuing a policy of operating a cash gate procedure at home cup matches, deemed as low profile.

Following two trials of the cash gate turnstile in the Polypipe Stand at Rovers fixtures against Chesterfield and Bradford Park Avenue, the club can confirm they feel the operation has been successful.

The Club have also been pleased with attendances in recent cup games when compared to other matches taking place in the competition and want to thank all fans for turning up and supporting the club in early rounds of cup competitions.

Chief Executive Gavin Baldwin said “Traditionally on cup games we have witnessed large queues at the ticket office but the introduction of the cash gate has ensured fans can get into the ground quicker and has taken the strain off the ticket office, so from that viewpoint the cash gates have been successful.”  “

“Due to the allocated seating policy the Club operate at leagues games there are no plans to introduce a cash gate during league fixtures this season”

The Club would like to thank all fans who contributed in the cash gate trial either though participating or bringing the idea to the Club through the In Rovers We Trust project.
