R.I.P. Keith Ripley

10 November 2012

Doncaster Rovers Football Club has been saddened to hear of the passing of former player Keith Ripley who played for the club during the period 1962 -1966.

Keith passed away on November 5th at 10.00am after a long illness associated with a rare disease Myasthenia Gravis ( a neuromuscular disorder affecting the nerves which control muscular function).

Keith played 147 matches for the Rovers during his spell with the club, lining up alongside such players as Albert Broadbent, Alfie Hale, Bill Leivers, and the legendary Alick Jeffrey ( to name but a few).

During his professional career Keith also played for Leeds United, Norwich City, Peterborough United and Mansfield Town. Club scarves from each of Keith’s former clubs will be laid by his family at his funeral service taking place on Friday 16th November at Pontefract crematorium (10.00am).

Everyone at Doncaster Rovers Football Club should like to extend their deepest condolences to Keith’s sons Keith Jnr. and Mark, and daughters Corinne, Gail and Liona.

Rest in Peace
