Doncaster Rovers FC has been shortlisted for a prestigious regional business award.
The club have been shortlisted for the performance through partnership award at the Doncaster Chamber of Commerce awards, which are due to take place next month.
The award category recognises an organisation’s ability to seek out and develop partnerships that move beyond normal commercial relationships to deliver real added value to all partners, customers and other stakeholders.
Gavin Baldwin, Chief Executive of Doncaster Rovers FC said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this award and it showcases the hard work of everyone at the club.
“Doncaster Rovers business philosophy is to create success through partnership working. As part of that our partnership working is not just limited to commercial partnerships through sponsors such as DCLT, One Call Insurance and Stoneacre but extended to not-for-profit organisations such as the Sheffield & Hallamshire County FA, key stakeholders groups such as the Club’s supporter groups, local charities such as Bluebell Wood’s Childrens Hospice and the Local Authority.
“The Club’s most unique form of partnership working is that with its biggest stakeholders, the fans. During the past twelve months the club have launched a major fan engagement project, In Rovers We Trust. The project is the ultimate in partnership working as we are working hand in hand with our supporters to ensure that products and services meet the requirements of our fans.
“Doncaster Rovers have a unique brand and we aim to use it to benefit the entire population of Doncaster.”
