1879 – A Vintage

30 October 2012

During the past few months Doncaster Rovers and Spotless have been working hard to improve the match day experience at Keepmoat Stadium.

Since the Club took operational control over of the stadium at the beginning of September a number of changes have already taken place and the majority of these have been on the back of fan feedback from the In Rovers We Trust project.

- Better quality products have started to be introduced on the concourse
- 10p has been reduced off the price of a pint
- Hawking has been trialled in the Family area

The Club are now delighted to confirm that on the back of Spotless signing a new brewery deal with Carlsberg that a new bespoke bitter will be introduced to Keepmoat Stadium.

The new bitter is unique to Doncaster Rovers and initially will be exclusively available in the Belle Vue Bar with a plan to roll out throughout the stadium should demand require it.

After a fan vote it has been confirmed that the name of the bespoke bitter will be 1879, a vintage year in the history of Doncaster as all Rovers fans will agree.

Doncaster Rovers can confirm that the new bitter will be sold at a price of £3.10 per pint, 20p cheaper than other rival bitters and lagers available at Keepmoat Stadium.

The club are hoping that the new tipple will be available for Rovers home game against Bournemouth on Saturday 10 November and are just awaiting confirmation from the brewery that it will be installed for this game.

Once again this new development has been introduced on the feedback of fans who wanted to see a wider range of beverages available on a matchday  and Doncaster Rovers wish to thank all supporters who continue to provide their feedback to the Club.
