Director Peter Hepworth Steps Down

20 September 2012

Long term director Peter Hepworth has decided to step down from his position on the Board of the Rovers.

Peter joined the Board in the year 2000 when the club was playing in the Conference at Belle Vue. He has worked closely with the club over this period including working with Andy Liney on the negotiations with the Council regarding the move to the Keepmoat stadium in 2007.

Peter said “As a lifelong supporter of the club, I have had 12 very enjoyable years on the Board and with the club in the safe hands of John Ryan and chief executive Gavin Baldwin, I felt now was an opportune time to step down.I have many happy memories over this period with the highlights being the promotions at Stoke and at Wembley and the successful move to the Keepmoat Stadium.

"I want to wish the current management and all at the club every success in their quest to get us back into the Championship. I still live locally and will continue to come to games and would always be there to help if ever needed.”

Everyone at Doncaster Rovers would like to thank Peter for his dedication and help over the past 12 years.
