Gavin Baldwin Shortlisted For Top Award

Doncaster Rovers chief executive has been shortlisted for a top award at the 2013 Stadium Business Awards.

The club clinched promotion as League One Champions this weekend and have a lot to celebrate.

The Stadium Business Awards, on June 6, will see representatives from across the globe flocking to Manchester to see who walks away with this year’s accolades.

Now in their fourth year, TheStadiumBusiness Awards are the only awards to recognise the entire spectrum of achievements from across the global stadium industry. Not only will the venues and events of the year be acknowledged but also individuals from behind the scenes and successful local community projects.

Gavin Baldwin, chief executive of Doncaster Rovers FC, who are responsible for running the Keepmoat Stadium is in the running for Executive of the Year, he faces competition Jacques Grobbelaar, CEO of Stadium Management, South Africa, Julian Jenkins, Commercial Director, Cardiff City FC, UK, Peter C. Gavin, who was instrumental in Doncaster Rovers taking up the reins at the Keepmoat Stadium, has been a key figure in the sports, leisure and community scene in Doncaster for many years.

John Ryan, chair of Doncaster Rovers said: “We are delighted that Gavin has been shortlisted for this prestigious award. The awards have attracted attention from across the world and there are some very big players in the shortlist.
