Doncaster Rovers supporters are being invited to celebrate the success of the club with free admission to a South Yorkshire racecourse this week.
Bosses at Doncaster Racecourse have announced that supporters of Rovers can gain free access to the races on Saturday, May 4, to mark the team’s promotion to the Championship after winning the crucial match against Brentford on Saturday.
Rovers fans simply need to fill out an online form , and present either their season ticket or a ticket stub from the 12/13 season to attend the May 4 race evening at no charge for themselves and up to three other guests.
Mark Spincer, managing director at Doncaster Racecourse, said that he was keen to engage with sporting fans, and help them to celebrate their team’s success with a great day out at the races.
He said: “Saturday’s result was absolutely fantastic and one that has created such a buzz in Doncaster. We’re keen to create an opportunity for fans to celebrate in style and enjoy a fantastic day with us at Doncaster Racecourse - Saturday will be just that.
“As a sport and leisure business, we are always delighted to see other sports institutions in the area doing well, so we’re delighted to give football fans an opportunity to mark what was a really fantastic result with a great offer for the supporters.”
Doncaster Rovers supporters will have the chance to upgrade to the Grandstand enclosure for £5 if they pre-register, and adults can bring up to three children at no charge.
The race evening will feature seven races, and will be followed by entertainment after racing, with the band is Superfuzz taking to the stage. The band will perform a range of songs, including music from The Beatles, The Kinks, The Killers and the Kings of Leon.
