Jones: We Go Into The Game Confident

30 August 2013

Captain Rob Jones told Rovers Player that, along with the rest of the squad, he is confident of getting a result going into the weekend’s game.

Bournemouth have struggled away from home this season, however Jones has said that the team can’t look too much into their previous results and that they have to concentrate on what they are doing.

On our opponent Bournemouth Jones said: “They’re a very organised and athletic side.

“You can’t look too much into the results that they have had on the road because they could have been individual mistakes that caused them.

“Like us, they are trying to rectify those little bits to make themselves better as a group and as a squad.

“We have got to focus on ourselves; we’ve got to play the way we want to play.

“We can’t worry about how other teams will come here and play, we have got to be ready for the way we play – if we start worrying about other teams we have got a problem.

“It’s about how you play on the day and we’ve proved in the three/ four games that we have already played that we can mix it with the rest of them in this division so we go into the game confident.

“We’re at home, we’ve got our supporters behind us, which is a big plus point - it’s a game we are all looking forward to.”
